Joanita Wartemberg (MBA)

Joanita is an executive member and one of the founding members of Afdili (click here for founding members webpage). Originally from Ghana, she came to Netherlands to pursue her MBA in Finance at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

Joanita’s passion is not just to finance companies but to see the ripple effects in economies developing and the livelihood of the bottom of the pyramid improving. As such her experience spans from commercial banking to development financing both on the ground in Africa and financing Africa from Europe. Africa is full of potential- the ability to grow given the right vision, mindset, drive, and attitude. Africans chose how to make use of that potential.

Joanita echoes the words of Charles Swindoll that “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.”
